How much does the 2023 Tesla Model Y cost?

Prices are up 4.74% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 2,833 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2023 Tesla Model Y a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Tesla Model Y earns a 4.78/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its performance, technology, and comfort, and they also highlight fast acceleration, easy charging, and a spacious interior. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a compact luxury crossover with EV practicality, especially since the model’s roomy shape and cargo flexibility are central to its appeal. With 27.0% of listings priced as good or great deals, there is still some market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Tesla Model Y reliable?

Owners rate it 4.78/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle people can count on for everyday use, especially when it comes to performance, charging convenience, and overall comfort. The same feedback also suggests the ownership experience is generally dependable over time, even if some drivers note concerns about range accuracy and missing features. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well and that its condition matches the seller’s claims.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Tesla Model Y?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with the history report so you can confirm accident status, title status, and ownership history before you commit. Then prioritize a thorough inspection of the battery-related systems, charging behavior, tires, brakes, and interior electronics, since those are the areas where condition matters most on a used EV. It also helps to focus on how the touchscreen, seats, and cabin features function in real use, because this model routes nearly everything through the screen.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Tesla Model Y?

This is a seller’s market, so you should act selectively and be ready to move when you find the right listing.

• Deal availability: 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,833 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 4.74% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 83.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,544, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Tesla Model Y's resale value?

The current average of $32,949 sits slightly above last year's $31,459.

That price movement suggests the market has stayed supportive of this model year, which can help future resale prospects if you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition. The combination of steady demand and a broad shopper base for used EV crossovers can help protect value, especially when the car has clean history and desirable equipment. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.78/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Tesla Model Y or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 4.74% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.78/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2023 is the right pick if you want a well-equipped used Model Y with strong owner satisfaction, solid inventory, and a market that still supports demand. If your priority is stretching your budget, a nearby year may be worth considering, but the 2023 remains the better primary path when you want a balanced mix of features, popularity, and resale confidence.
