How much does the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek cost?

Prices have softened 5.99% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,089 listings available, which suggests you should have a healthy range of choices.

Is the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth handling, great mileage, and strong safety features. The model also gets positive marks for comfort and style, which fits its role as a compact, practical daily driver that does well in snow and offers useful cargo-friendly design.

With 35.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a well-priced example.

Is the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with drivers describing it as a solid option and highlighting its trouble-free feel, strong safety features, and easy-to-live-with nature. That kind of feedback matters if you want a used crossover you can count on over time.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright reliability and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not worn hard.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Subaru Crosstrek?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report to confirm accident status, title status, and service records. Then prioritize a thorough inspection of the drivetrain, brakes, tires, and interior condition, since those areas reveal how the vehicle was treated.

Because this model is valued for practicality and all-weather use, focus on signs of heavy wear from daily commuting or rough-weather driving.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Subaru Crosstrek?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,089 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.99% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,620, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $23,620 sits slightly below last year's $25,124.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and mileage will matter even more because buyers will compare your listing against a fairly broad supply.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.99% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,293, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $23,620 average.
• It adds a Wilderness trim for more off-road capability.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2023 if you want the better value and a strong mix of owner satisfaction, deal availability, and clean inventory. If you want the newer model’s added capability and are willing to pay more, the 2024 is the better secondary path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2023 is the smarter starting point.
