CarGurus Analysis: 2023 Nissan Titan

Summary
With 44 currently listed for sale and an average price of $26,530, 25.0% of 2023 Nissan Titan listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2023 Nissan Titan 4.43 / 5 stars.

Why it stands out
The 2023 Nissan Titan stands out as a full-size pickup that leans on a straightforward formula: a standard 5.6-liter V8, rear- or four-wheel drive, and a cabin that was designed to feel more comfortable and better equipped than many trucks of its era. Nissan gave the Titan a bolder exterior and a refreshed interior, including a column-mounted gearshift, a center console sized to hold a 15-inch laptop, and Zero Gravity seats. It also offered useful truck-specific touches such as the UtiliTrack-channel system and in-bed cargo boxes, along with features like Bluetooth phone connectivity, push-button ignition, and a back-up camera.
For 2023, the Titan’s appeal also came from the way it blended capability with convenience. The second-generation truck’s available equipment included GPS navigation, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, an electronic locking rear tailgate, an electric locking rear differential, hill descent control, a trailer tow package with an integrated trailer brake controller, LED signature headlights, heated-and-cooled front seats, and a premium audio system. The 2019 infotainment update added standard GPS navigation, a color touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone functionality, and a premium Fender audio system, while the 2020 refresh brought a nine-speed Jatco automatic transmission, an optional dual-pane panoramic moonroof, an available nine-inch infotainment screen, and standard Nissan 360º Safety Shield features.
At the same time, the Titan had clear drawbacks that kept it from matching the strongest full-size truck rivals. Nissan never delivered the promised base V6, and the Titan was criticized for limited configurability, poor fuel economy, and a lack of alternative engines. Even so, owners often praise the truck’s build quality, comfortable ride, and distinctive styling, which helps explain why the 2023 Nissan Titan can still appeal to buyers who want a well-equipped, V8-powered pickup with a quieter, more comfortable personality.

I like the style, inside and outside, solid materials. Great Fender sound system! Very good and easy to navigate informational setup. Nice and smooth drive I like quiet interior. Overall great track. My previous track was 2005 Titan. It had some hiccups but nothing really major.

Reviewers repeatedly highlight the truck’s build quality, comfortable ride, and distinctive styling, and they also appreciate its comfortable cabin and useful tech. In practical terms, that makes it a fit if you want a full-size pickup that feels more comfortable and better equipped than many rivals while still delivering straightforward V8 truck capability. With 34.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2023 Nissan Titan reliable?
Owners rate it 4.43/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.
Owner feedback also emphasizes build quality and a trouble-free feel, along with confidence in the truck’s long-term ownership experience. That said, used buyers should still watch for signs of heavy use, since pickup trucks can accumulate wear quickly depending on how they were driven and maintained.
What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Nissan Titan?
Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the truck closely for signs of prior damage, hard towing, or uneven wear. Focus on overall condition, especially the cabin, bed, suspension, and any equipment that may have seen heavy use. A careful pre-purchase inspection matters most if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one priced near the low end of the market.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Titan?
This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.
- Deal availability: 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 764 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 6.09% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 85.1% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $35,200, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2023 Nissan Titan's resale value?
The current average of $35,658 sits slightly below last year's $37,969.
That softer pricing suggests the Titan is currently more buyer-friendly than seller-friendly, which can matter if you plan to trade in or resell within a few years. A lower entry price can help you buy well now, but it also means future resale gains may be limited unless you choose a clean, well-kept example. Strong condition and documented maintenance will matter more than ever if you want to protect value later.
Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.43/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Titan or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2023 if:
- 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 6.09% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.43/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2022 if:
- At $28,826, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $35,658 average.
- The 2022 offers a quieter cabin and a more polished feel.
The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market selection and are comfortable paying more for a newer model year, the 2023 is the better primary target. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2022 is the smarter secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
