How much does the 2023 GMC Terrain cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 5,367 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 GMC Terrain a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2023 GMC Terrain. The overview points to a compact SUV that prioritizes comfort and everyday usability, with a roomy cabin and a more premium feel than many rivals. It also highlights a quieter interior and a smarter-feeling layout, which should matter if you want a small SUV that feels easy to live with day to day. With 37.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive price.

Is the 2023 GMC Terrain reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview also frames the 2023 Terrain as a comfortable, well-equipped compact SUV with good reliability scores, which supports confidence if you plan to keep it for a while. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about basic livability and more about whether the vehicle’s modest performance and cargo limitations will still fit your needs over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 GMC Terrain?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully and confirm that the specific vehicle has a clean background, especially if you are shopping from a large pool of listings. Put the inspection focus on overall condition, since comfort and usability are the Terrain’s strengths and you want to make sure the cabin, electronics, and general wear match the mileage. It is also smart to prioritize examples that show consistent maintenance and no signs of neglect.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 GMC Terrain?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,367 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,121, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 GMC Terrain's resale value?

The current average of $24,089 sits slightly below last year's $24,184.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which is helpful if you are thinking about future resale. A steady price pattern can make it easier to estimate what your vehicle may be worth later, especially if you buy at a reasonable price today. The Terrain’s comfort-focused appeal should help it stay relevant with shoppers who want an easygoing compact SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 GMC Terrain or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $21,581, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $24,089 average.
• It adds a rugged AT4 trim with standard all-wheel drive and off-road styling.

The 2023 is the better fit if you want the more current market snapshot and a comfortable, easy-to-live-with compact SUV. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the more budget-friendly path, especially if you like its added rugged trim flavor and can live with its compromises.
