How much does the 2023 Ford Expedition cost?

There are 3,975 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Ford Expedition a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Ford Expedition earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its family-friendly features, generous space for car seats, and comfortable ride, and they also note decent gas mileage for a large vehicle. It fits especially well if you want a full-size SUV built around passenger room, comfort, and everyday usefulness. With 34.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2023 Ford Expedition reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle people feel good about living with over time, especially because it comes across as dependable for family use and comfortable enough for regular driving. The summary also highlights a trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers, with strong confidence in its long-term usefulness. For used buyers, that suggests the bigger risk is less about the model’s basic appeal and more about finding one that has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by heavy family-duty use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Ford Expedition?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free listings are common but not guaranteed. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin, electronics, and any features you plan to use often, since a large family SUV can accumulate wear in high-touch areas. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records so you can separate a clean, well-kept example from one that has simply been driven a lot.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Ford Expedition?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,975 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.87% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $44,729, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Ford Expedition's resale value?

The current average of $45,276 sits slightly below last year's $47,593.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also suggests the market has adjusted downward from where it was a year ago. If you plan to resell later, that means your return will depend heavily on how well you preserve condition, mileage, and maintenance history. A clean, well-documented example should hold up better than one with visible wear or incomplete records.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Ford Expedition or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $38,753, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $45,276 average.
• It offers strong presence and practical family-focused space.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced shopping environment, the 2023 is the stronger primary target because it combines solid inventory, a softer price trend, and strong owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in clean condition with a good history report.
