Used 2023 Ford Expedition for Sale nearBirmingham, AL

How much does the 2023 Ford Expedition cost?

Prices have softened 5.66% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,047 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Ford Expedition a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Ford Expedition earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its family-friendly features, generous space for car seats, and comfortable ride, and they also note decent gas mileage for a large vehicle. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a full-size SUV centered on space, comfort, and everyday family usefulness. With 37.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also a meaningful share of market-friendly pricing to consider.

Is the 2023 Ford Expedition reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with owners highlighting comfort, family usefulness, and a vehicle they feel good about living with over time. The overall tone suggests a truck that many buyers can count on for regular family duty and long-term use. For used buyers, that kind of satisfaction can reduce ownership risk, especially if the specific vehicle has been well maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Ford Expedition?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because even a strong accident-free share does not guarantee the individual listing you are considering is clean. Put inspection priority on the condition of the cabin, seating, electronics, and any signs of heavy family use, since this model is often chosen for hauling people and gear. Focus on overall wear and maintenance records so you can separate a well-kept SUV from one that has simply been driven a lot.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Ford Expedition?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what to look for.

• Deal availability: 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,047 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.66% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $44,732, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Ford Expedition's resale value?

The current average of $45,490 sits slightly below last year's $48,218.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also mean future resale gains are more limited. If you plan to sell later, the current trend implies you should pay close attention to purchase price and condition so you do not start too far above market. Strong demand from family-focused shoppers can still support value, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Ford Expedition or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.66% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $39,253, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $45,490 average.
• It pairs strong presence with real substance.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of satisfaction, inventory, and pricing, the 2023 is the better primary target. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the smarter secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition and can live with the older model year.
