A car like this doesn’t need to have constant updates, or even the most cutting-edge technology on offer, to appeal to the people who can actually afford to buy one. On the market for just four years, this Ferrari is a rare sight on public roads. ## Design The sleek, low-slung SF90 Stradale comes standard in coupe form, though a drop-top Spider convertible version is also available. The design is unmistakably Ferrari and looks best in the traditional red, though some other colors are available. Ferrari offers upgraded wheel design packages and other options such as color-coded brake calipers and carbon-fiber trim. ## Powertrain The 2023 Ferrari SF90 Stradale features a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine with a plug-in hybrid system. The hybrid system isn’t really for fuel-economy improvements; it’s more for the instant torque it can produce on demand and the boost to horsepower. However, this Ferrari is one of the most efficient cars the brand has ever made, with fuel economy ratings of up to 51 MPGe (miles per gallon of gasoline equivalent). Total system output is 986 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, though the engine alone is good for 769 of those ponies. Standard all-wheel drive (AWD) and an eight-speed automatic transmission complete the package. ## Interior The SF90 Stradale has a relatively plain cabin, though it’s not dull-it’s just tame for a Ferrari. The design is smooth and shapely, though it doesn’t distract from the driving experience, and there isn’t much storage space. Accents are kept to a minimum, such as yellow-accented seat belts and steering wheel trim. The seats are comfortable and supportive. ## Technology The SF90 Stradale includes some basic tech features, but not enough to distract drivers from its performance. Standard tech includes an LCD display, Apple CarPlay, navigation, Bluetooth, voice controls, and a six-speaker audio system. Android Auto isn’t available, however. There also aren’t many options to upgrade any of these amenities. ## Safety The SF90 Stradale isn’t subjected to the typical crash-testing regimen that normal cars undergo from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Ferrari equips the SF90 Stradale with a reversing camera and parking sensors, and it’s available with blind-spot monitoring, which is probably a wise choice considering it’s hard to see out of this car. However, there aren’t any other safety technology options on offer. ## Pricing The 2023 Ferrari SF90 Stradale is available now. As of this writing, Ferrari lists pricing of the 2023 Ferrari SF90 Stradale starting at $528,765, while the Spider convertible starts at $579,395. As is typical, options are extremely expensive, such as the Assetto Fiorano performance package, which costs $50,000 or so.
