Is the 2022 Kia Sorento Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

For used buyers, that kind of owner feedback can reduce some of the uncertainty around long-term ownership risk, especially if you verify maintenance history and overall condition before purchase.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Kia Sorento Hybrid?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still review the history report carefully, since even a clean listing can hide prior damage or incomplete repairs. Put inspection priority on the vehicle’s overall condition, including signs of wear that may not show up in photos. Focus on how well the car has been maintained, because condition matters as much as mileage when you’re shopping used.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Kia Sorento Hybrid?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.18% compared with last year.

What is the 2022 Kia Sorento Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $22,753 sits slightly below last year's $25,909.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. For a seller, the current trend suggests you should expect more price sensitivity from shoppers than you would have a year ago. Strong condition and clean history will matter more if you want to protect value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Kia Sorento Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.18% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $20,433, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $22,753 average.
• It offers a redesigned three-row layout with a hybrid option and strong tech appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2022 is the better primary target. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2021 is the more budget-friendly path and still brings many of the same core strengths.
