The newly appointed entry-level Latitude LUX is equipped with a now-standard 7-inch full-color instrument panel display and a plethora of convenience features. These include a power liftgate, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 7-inch full-color instrument panel display, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a security alarm, a universal garage door opener, and a 115-volt power outlet. The new Cherokee X model adds more in terms of rugged styling thanks to Gloss Black features in the front fascia and badging, as well as unique hood and door decals. The leather bucket seats of the Latitude LUX are swapped for a premium cloth/vinyl mix in the X model. The Cherokee X also receives an extra inch of suspension lift for more capability and a total ground clearance of 8.7 inches. Standard across the lineup is the latest in Uconnect infotainment technology. With the Uconnect 4C system, all 2022 Cherokee models enjoy faster start-up times, quicker processing power, and higher-resolution graphics. Uconnect 4C includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration with available navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and Jeep Skill for Amazon Alexa. The 2022 Jeep Cherokee carries over two powertrains, both of which are paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The standard engine for all Cherokee models is a 3.2-liter V6 that produces 271 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque. The EPA-estimated fuel economy is up to 29 mpg combined for FWD models or 27 mpg for 4WD. Available on the Cherokee Limited is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Its output is 270 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy for the turbo-four is rated at 29 mpg combined. On sale now, the 2022 Jeep Cherokee starts at $34,895 for the Latitude LUX FWD (not including the $1,595 destination fee). Opting for 4WD will add another $1,500. The 4WD-only Cherokee X has a starting price of $35,245, which is less than a Latitude LUX 4WD ($36,395). The top-of-the-line Cherokee Limited starts at $39,345, and the optional 2.0-liter turbo adds another $695.
