Used 2021 Jeep Gladiator for Sale nearNew Orleans, LA

How much does the 2021 Jeep Gladiator cost?

Prices have softened 7.54% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,029 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Jeep Gladiator a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Jeep Gladiator earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its ruggedness, off-road capability, and unique design, and many also like the powerful diesel edition and comfortable interior. The trade-offs are familiar: gas mileage is a common complaint, and some shoppers feel the price is high for what you get, especially with the small bed size.

That lines up with the Gladiator’s use case as a lifestyle-focused truck rather than a conventional midsize pickup. If you want something distinctive, adventurous, and highly customizable, it fits that brief well.

The market also shows 34.4% good or great deals, so there are still some attractive listings to find.

Is the 2021 Jeep Gladiator reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a truck that feels rugged, dependable, and well suited to buyers who want something they can count on for off-road use and everyday ownership. The expert review also emphasizes its durable, purpose-built character and notes that the diesel adds substantial low-end grunt without changing the truck’s core toughness.

It also comes with free scheduled maintenance during the first three years or 36,000 miles of ownership, which helps reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that its rugged personality comes with compromises in efficiency and refinement.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Jeep Gladiator?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a truck with this much off-road appeal may have seen harder use than average. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the suspension, steering, underbody, and cabin wear, and pay close attention to how well the truck’s condition matches its mileage and asking price.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sport starts with a 5-inch display, crank windows, all-season tires, and the most basic top, while Sport S is the starting point for the 7-inch Uconnect 4 system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Overland adds more comfort and convenience, and the High Altitude brings body-color detailing, black 20-inch wheels, and premium Nappa leather.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.6-liter gasoline V6 was joined for 2021 by a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6 with 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. The diesel delivers stronger low-end grunt and better fuel economy than the gas engine, but it cannot be paired with the Mojave.
• Safety package: The truck includes a reversing camera in standard form, while available driver-assistance features include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams. Some of these features depend on trim and equipment.
• Infotainment: The standard system uses a 5-inch display, while the Uconnect 4 setup brings a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The top Uconnect 4C system adds an 8.4-inch touchscreen, navigation, SiriusXM Guardian connected services, remote engine start, a WiFi hotspot, and an Alpine premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The diesel returned 22.6 mpg in testing and was estimated at 24 mpg combined, while a prior gasoline V6 test returned 20.3 mpg.

Which 2021 Jeep Gladiator trim should I buy?

The 2021 Jeep Gladiator is offered in 5 trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Overland, Willys, and High Altitude.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable with the most basic equipment. It comes with the 5-inch display, manual transmission, all-season tires, and crank windows, so it is best for buyers who care more about the Gladiator’s core character than convenience.
• Sport S: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it unlocks the 7-inch Uconnect 4 system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also serves as the starting point for the Willys special edition, which adds a blacked-out grille, limited-slip rear differential, rock rails, and 32-inch all-terrain tires.
• Overland: This trim is the better choice if you want a more upscale Gladiator, and it is the one used in the expert test truck. It can be paired with the diesel engine, and it also gets the forward-facing Trail Cam for 2021.
• Willys: This is the more adventure-focused choice, with the added hardware that makes it appealing if you want a tougher-looking and more trail-ready setup without jumping to the top of the lineup.
• High Altitude: This is the luxury-leaning choice, with body-color detailing, black 20-inch wheels, and premium Nappa leather for buyers who want the most polished Gladiator experience.

The safety package is still limited in standard form, so you should confirm which driver-assistance features are included on any used example you’re considering.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Jeep Gladiator?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing movement to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,029 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.54% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,629, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Jeep Gladiator's resale value?

The current average of $30,629 sits slightly below last year's $33,127.

That decline suggests the market has become a little more favorable for buyers, but it also means sellers may need to price more competitively to stand out. If you own one, the Gladiator’s distinctive image and strong enthusiast appeal can help support demand, especially for well-equipped or well-kept examples.

Its broad appeal to buyers who want a truck with personality also helps it avoid feeling generic in the used market. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Jeep Gladiator safe?

The 2021 Jeep Gladiator earns a four-star frontal-impact rating from NHTSA and three-star rollover resistance ratings.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The available driver-assistance suite can include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams. Standard safety equipment is sparse, though, with a reversing camera as the baseline and many helpful features reserved for higher trims or added equipment.

That means you should pay close attention to the exact feature set on any used example, especially if you want the blind-spot monitoring system that helps offset the Gladiator’s narrow side mirrors.

Should I buy a 2021 Jeep Gladiator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.54% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 adds a turbo-diesel engine option, available full-time four-wheel drive, fresh special-edition models, and free scheduled maintenance.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $27,866, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $30,629 average.
• It combines midsize pickup utility with strong off-road ability.

The bottom line: Choose the 2021 if you want the broader engine and feature mix, plus the benefit of softer pricing than a year ago. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2020 remains the value play, especially if you can live without the 2021 updates.
