How much does the 2021 INFINITI QX80 cost?

Prices have softened 12.39% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 503 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 INFINITI QX80 a good car?

With a 3.8/5 user rating and an expert rating of 7.3/10, the 2021 INFINITI QX80 lands in the range of a capable luxury SUV that fits a specific buyer profile.

Owners commonly praise its luxurious and comfortable ride, refined interior, and improved features. The QX80’s spacious cabin and premium materials also line up with its role as a full-size luxury SUV. On the downside, some owners mention limited entertainment options in lower trims and occasional cosmetic issues, while value for money comes up as a concern.

That makes it a better fit if you want a large, premium-feeling SUV with comfort and presence rather than the most modern tech or the sharpest value proposition. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Only 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so you may need to shop carefully to find the strongest value.

Is the 2021 INFINITI QX80 reliable?

The 2021 INFINITI QX80 is built around a body-on-frame layout with a V8 powertrain, which supports its long-haul, truck-based character.

Owners describe it as refined, luxurious, and comfortable, and those are the kinds of traits that usually matter most when you want something you can count on for relaxed daily use. The expert review also points to a comfortable ride, responsive engine, and quiet cabin, which all support the QX80’s dependable, easygoing personality. Infiniti also includes a four-year, 60,000-mile basic warranty and a six-year, 70,000-mile powertrain warranty.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a heavy, V8-powered luxury SUV can become expensive to own if maintenance has been deferred.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 INFINITI QX80?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean title alone does not tell you how well the SUV was maintained. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the suspension, brakes, electronics, and interior condition, since this is a large luxury SUV that can be costly to refresh. It also makes sense to confirm that the features you want are actually present, especially if you are comparing lower and higher trims.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Luxe trim rides on 20-inch wheels, while Premium Select and Sensory models get 22-inch wheels. The interior is dressed up with wood trim, contrast stitching, and standard leather upholstery, with perforated semi-aniline leather on Sensory models. Lower trims may leave you wanting more equipment, especially if you expect a more fully loaded luxury experience.
• Powertrain: Every model uses a 5.6-liter V8 with a seven-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and four-wheel drive is available. The engine makes 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, and it feels responsive in everyday driving.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and Backup Collision Intervention. These features are standard rather than trim-dependent.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses dual touchscreens measuring 8.0 inches up top and 7.0 inches below. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a built-in WiFi hotspot, navigation, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a 13-speaker Bose audio system are standard. A 17-speaker Bose system and rear-seat entertainment are optional.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA ratings are 16 mpg combined, 14 mpg city, and 20 mpg highway with rear-wheel drive, or 15 mpg combined, 13 mpg city, and 19 mpg highway with four-wheel drive.

Which 2021 INFINITI QX80 trim should I buy?

The 2021 INFINITI QX80 is offered in 3 trim levels: Luxe, Premium Select, and Sensory.

Here's the short version:

• Luxe: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core QX80 experience with the standard V8, leather upholstery, dual-screen infotainment, and the full suite of standard driver-assistance features. It makes sense if you want the QX80’s size, comfort, and capability without paying for extras you may not need.
• Premium Select: This trim adds a more upscale look with 22-inch wheels and sits in the middle of the lineup. It is the trim to consider if you want a stronger visual presence and a better-equipped feel without jumping all the way to the top model.
• Sensory: This is the range-topping trim and the best choice if you want the most luxurious version of the QX80. It adds perforated semi-aniline leather, 22-inch wheels, and standard Hydraulic Body Motion Control, making it the most appealing pick for buyers who want the richest cabin and the most polished ride.

Standard safety features are included across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance package.

What is the 2021 INFINITI QX80's resale value?

The current average of $28,400 sits slightly below last year's $32,417.

That drop suggests the QX80 has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means sellers may face more price pressure than they did a year ago. If you own one, condition and equipment matter more than ever when it comes time to list it. Well-kept examples with desirable trim content should hold up better than neglected ones. For future resale, the strongest position will come from a clean history and strong maintenance records.

Is the 2021 INFINITI QX80 safe?

Standard safety features include adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and Backup Collision Intervention. Those features are standard across the lineup, which helps the QX80 stand out among luxury SUVs that often reserve some of them for higher trims.

Should I buy a 2021 INFINITI QX80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.39% compared with last year.
• It keeps the rugged body-on-frame formula with standard luxury features and available low-range 4WD.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $21,824, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $28,400 average.
• It offers a more luxurious take on the Armada with premium accommodations.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $35,945, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $28,400 average.
• It adds a much more modern widescreen infotainment setup with wireless Apple CarPlay.

The bottom line: The 2021 is the right pick if you want the QX80’s comfort, capability, and standard safety features at a softened price. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2020 is the value play; if you want newer tech, the 2022 is the better upgrade path.
