The 2021 BMW X2, a subcompact crossover, goes into its fourth year largely unchanged. Rivals include the Audi Q3, Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class, Volvo XC40, and Cadillac XT4. The comfortable cabin comes loaded with tech and upscale touches, such as synthetic leather upholstery, 10-way power front seats, keyless start, automatic climate control, and a power rear liftgate. Options include keyless entry, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a head-up display (HUD), and a panoramic sunroof. The X2’s infotainment features include an 8.8-inch touchscreen, navigation, voice recognition, a seven-speaker audio system, Bluetooth, HD Radio, Apple CarPlay, and, new for this year, a one-year SiriusXM satellite radio subscription. Upgrades include wireless-device charging and a Harman Kardon premium audio system. BMW equips the X2 with a reversing camera and rain-sensing windshield wipers. Many more advanced safety features are available, including adaptive cruise control, front-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, speed-limit recognition, automatic high beams, and front and rear parking sensors.
