FAQs
The 2021 Audi TT RS is a fast, agile coupe with an angular, menacing design. It is the top performance variant of the Audi TT and wears its speed on its sleeve with a unique front-end design, wide fenders, and a fixed rear wing. For the 2021 model year, the TT RS gains Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also has a new 20-inch alloy wheel design, updated black exterior trim, and carbon fiber inserts in the doors and center console.
The TT RS is powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-five engine. It makes 394 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. Power is routed through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission to Quattro all-wheel drive (AWD). This setup is good for a claimed zero to 60 mph time of 3.6 seconds. EPA fuel-economy estimates for the TT RS are 20 mpg city, 30 mpg highway, 24 mpg combined.
The TT RS features a modern, feature-laden cabin. Compared to other Audi models, the TT RS has a minimalist cabin, thanks to the standard Audi Virtual Cockpit. The digital instrument panel also includes the infotainment system, with navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Other standard features include push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control, two USB ports, a wireless phone-charging pad, and a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium stereo.
The TT RS is also available with an R Design interior package with unique contrasting color themes. It includes either red or blue accents on the climate control vents and seats and features red or blue seat belts and a center console surround. No matter which color you choose, it comes with added leather paneling throughout the cabin and a red line at the 12 o’clock mark on the steering wheel.
Standard safety features include a backup camera, blind-spot monitoring, and front-and-rear parking sensors. The TT RS does not offer the advanced driver-assistance features that have become commonplace in less-expensive vehicles.
The 2021 Audi TT RS has a base MSRP of $73,545. That’s a $4,950 increase over the 2020 model. The TT RS is backed by a four-year/50,000-mile limited warranty.
