About 2019 McLaren 570S
The McLaren 570S carries over into its fourth year for 2019. The 570S is still available as either a standard coupe or a spider with a power-folding hardtop and competes with the likes of the Lamborghini Huracan, Audi R8, and higher-spec Porsche 911s. Sitting behind the driver in the McLaren 570S is the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8, making 562 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque, enough to rocket the exotic two-seater to 60 miles per hour in less than 3 seconds and on to a top speed of 204 mph. The 570S returns just 16 mpg city, 23 highway, and 20 combined. At less than 3,200 pounds, the 570S is a fairly light car; opting for the Spider trim adds only 100 pounds to the package. Active dampers come standard, as does an electronic braking system that, in lieu of a limited-slip differential, aids in handling. Carbon-ceramic brakes are an optional extra. The 570S’s stiff and lightweight carbon-fiber tub construction and advanced suspension reportedly make handling razor-sharp. That said, the 570S is certainly civilized enough for road use, but cargo space is limited to just 5 cubic feet. The 570S’s interior is available with a wide variety of color and trim to make personalization easy. Standard equipment includes a 7.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, navigation system, WiFi, Bluetooth, and four USB ports. Optional features include power seats and steering column, a better Bowers & Wilkins stereo, lightweight carbon-fiber seats, and a track telemetry system. In Spider trims, the power-folding hardtop raises or lowers at speeds of up to 25 mph. The McLaren 570S hasn't been crash tested, which is typical of cars this expensive. Safety features are limited to a reversing camera with front and rear parking sensors. The 2019 570S continues to offer sharp handling, speed, and plenty of personalization.
