How much does the 2018 RAM 1500 cost?

Prices have softened 8.01% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 9,747 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2018 RAM 1500 a good car?

Yes — the 4.64/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the comfort, features, and value for money, while also highlighting the truck’s power and towing capability. The roomy cabin and upscale interior materials fit especially well if you want a full-size pickup that feels more refined for commuting, family use, and everyday driving. With 33.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding attractive pricing.

Is the 2018 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.64/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a truck that many drivers find dependable and trouble-free over time, with comfort and usefulness showing up repeatedly in reviews. That said, used-truck ownership risk still depends heavily on maintenance history and how hard the truck was worked.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 RAM 1500?

At 67.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a trusted mechanic. Focus on signs of wear, accident repair quality, and how well the truck’s interior and drivetrain have been maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 RAM 1500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 9,747 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.01% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 67.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,930, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $19,930 sits slightly below last year's $21,665.

That price movement suggests the truck has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilizes. If you buy well and keep the truck in strong condition, you may be better positioned to limit losses later. Demand should also stay supported by the model’s strong owner satisfaction and broad appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.64/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.64/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $23,979, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $19,930 average.
• It adds a more refined, commuter-friendly feel with stronger everyday comfort.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2018 is the smarter starting point because pricing has eased and owner satisfaction is strong. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer-feeling truck with a more polished road demeanor, the 2019 is the better secondary path.
