Used 2018 Nissan Altima for Sale nearBuffalo, NY

How much does the 2018 Nissan Altima cost?

Prices have softened 3.91% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,029 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Nissan Altima a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Nissan Altima earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its comfort, smooth ride, good fuel economy, and technology features, and the roomy trunk adds to its everyday usefulness. That fits well if you want a practical midsize sedan that emphasizes value, comfort, and usability over driving excitement. With 28.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Nissan Altima reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience for many drivers, with repeated praise for comfort, fuel economy, and everyday usability. At the same time, some owners mention transmission problems and maintenance concerns, so you should treat condition and service history as important parts of the decision. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is manageable only if you choose a well-kept example with clear records.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Nissan Altima?

At 50.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection on any car that looks promising. Focus on signs of prior body damage, uneven wear, and evidence of deferred maintenance, since condition matters more when the market includes a lot of mixed-history inventory. If a car has incomplete records or visible wear, move on unless the price clearly compensates for the risk.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Nissan Altima?

This is a moderate buyer's market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,029 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.91% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 50.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,592, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Nissan Altima's resale value?

The current average of $10,996 sits slightly below last year's $11,444.

That softer pricing suggests the model has lost some value over time, which can be a drawback if you're thinking about future trade-in strength. For a seller, that means you should expect resale to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and documentation rather than on broad market momentum. Well-kept examples may still hold up better than average, but the overall trend points to modest retention rather than standout appreciation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 50.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $13,682, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $10,996 average.
• It brings an all-new design with a more polished cabin and upgraded tech.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2018 if your priority is value, lower purchase price, and a broad pool of listings to compare. If you can stretch your budget and want a newer-feeling Altima with a more modern design, the 2019 is the better secondary path for shoppers who care more about refinement than upfront savings.
