How much does the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee cost?

Prices have softened 7.90% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,772 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee a good car?

Yes — 4.73/5 is a strong user rating, and the feedback points to strong performance, comfort, and luxurious features. Drivers also repeatedly call out the spacious interior, impressive technology, and off-road capability, which fits a vehicle that aims to balance everyday usability with rugged versatility. For you, that means this model year makes the most sense if you want a midsize SUV with a premium feel and real capability. 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still meaningful market opportunity.

Is the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.73/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback highlights a vehicle that many owners find dependable in daily use, with praise centered on comfort, performance, and features that hold up well over time. The same feedback also suggests that some buyers have had to weigh fuel economy and pricing against the ownership experience. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is more about choosing the right example and trim than assuming every listing will age the same way.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

At 62.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of inconsistent wear, since those can reveal more than a listing description. It also makes sense to focus on overall maintenance and how the vehicle has been used, because condition matters a lot when you are shopping a model with a broad range of trims and equipment.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,772 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.90% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,393, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $16,399 sits slightly below last year's $17,805.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. If you plan to resell later, the current trend implies you should be realistic about appreciation and focus on buying well. Strong condition, clean history, and desirable equipment will matter more if you want to protect value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.73/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.90% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.73/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $14,258, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $16,399 average.
• It emphasizes upscale comfort and off-road character.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $18,090, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $16,399 average.
• It balances everyday drivability with off-road versatility.

The bottom line: The 2018 is the best all-around pick if you want a strong mix of satisfaction, capability, and current market value. If your priority is spending less, the 2017 is the better budget path; if you want to stretch for a newer-feeling option and can pay more, the 2019 is the alternative to compare.
