Used 2017 Lexus GS for Sale near Illinois

How much does the 2017 Lexus GS cost?

Prices have softened 3.19% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 168 listings available, which gives you a useful amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2017 Lexus GS a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating suggests strong owner satisfaction for this model year.

That kind of feedback, paired with 29.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, gives you both a positive ownership signal and some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Lexus GS reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

For used buyers, that points to lower perceived ownership risk, but you should still verify maintenance history and overall condition before committing.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Lexus GS?

At 49.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any promising listing and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has incomplete records or visible cosmetic repairs. Focus on condition details that can affect long-term ownership, including signs of prior damage, uneven wear, and consistency between the listing description and the car’s actual condition.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Lexus GS?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 168 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.19% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 49.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,922, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Lexus GS's resale value?

The current average of $23,423 sits slightly below last year's $24,195.

That suggests the market has eased, which can matter if you're planning to sell later because a softer purchase price may limit how much room there is for appreciation. Even so, the current pricing range still supports a relatively stable used-car value profile if the car is well maintained and presented cleanly. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Lexus GS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 49.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2017 is a reasonable primary choice. If you're especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the cleanest history and best condition at the lowest out-the-door price.
