Is the 2017 INFINITI QX80 a good car?

Generally — the 4.43/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxury, comfort, and space, and many call it a dream car. Families also tend to value the feature-rich cabin and the amount of equipment it offers. Is the 2017 INFINITI QX80 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.43/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to reliability and service as part of the ownership experience, which suggests that maintenance history matters when you shop used. Because this is a large, feature-rich SUV, long-term ownership risk is best managed by focusing on documented care and overall condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 INFINITI QX80?

At 60.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put a pre-purchase inspection at the top of your checklist, especially for suspension, electronics, and signs of uneven wear. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, since a well-kept example is more likely to deliver the comfort and utility this SUV is known for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 INFINITI QX80?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 505 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.55% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,169, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 INFINITI QX80's resale value?

The current average of $16,180 sits slightly below last year's $18,293.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make resale a little less favorable than it was a year ago. If you buy now, you should expect value retention to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. A clean, well-kept example is more likely to hold buyer interest than one with visible wear or a spotty service record.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.43/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 INFINITI QX80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.55% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.43/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2017 if you want a full-size luxury SUV with strong owner approval, a lower current average price, and enough inventory to shop around. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
