How much does the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica cost?

Prices have softened 7.62% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,964 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica a good car?

Generally — the 4.3/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the expert rating is 8/10. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Form and function.

Owners consistently praise the spacious cabin, safety features, smooth performance, advanced technology, and entertainment options. The Pacifica’s clean-sheet redesign and family-focused use case make it especially appealing if you want minivan practicality without feeling like you’re settling for something dated.

With 32.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a generally dependable ownership experience, with many drivers highlighting the Pacifica’s spaciousness, smooth performance, and family-friendly usefulness. At the same time, some owners mention ongoing reliability problems and expensive repairs, so you should treat condition and maintenance history as especially important on the used market.

The long-term ownership risk is mainly tied to repair costs if prior maintenance has been inconsistent, so a careful pre-purchase inspection matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Chrysler Pacifica?

At 64.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough inspection of bodywork, interior condition, and any signs of prior repair quality. Because owner feedback mentions reliability concerns and expensive repairs, service records matter just as much as cosmetic condition. If you’re comparing multiple listings, focus on the examples with clean histories and evidence of regular maintenance.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX comes with Bluetooth hands-free calling, a ParkView backup camera, Stow-N-Go seating, active noise cancelation, and the smaller Uconnect 5-inch touchscreen. Touring L adds leather seats, a power rear liftgate, and heated rear seats, while Touring L Plus adds the Uconnect Theater with rear touchscreens and media inputs. Limited is the most upscale version, with front-seat ventilation, navigation, a panoramic sunroof, a built-in vacuum, and 20-inch wheels.
• Powertrain: The Pacifica uses a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 287 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. It is rated at 18 mpg city, 28 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined.
• Safety package: The available SafetyTec Package adds blind-spot monitoring, ParkSense, and rear cross-path detection. The Advanced SafetyTec Package adds a 360-degree surround-view camera, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist, but it is limited to Touring L Plus and Limited.
• Infotainment: The base LX uses the smaller Uconnect 5-inch touchscreen. The larger Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen is optional on Touring L Plus and standard on Limited, and it brings a more advanced, customizable interface. Uconnect Theater is standard on Touring L Plus and optional on Limited.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA estimates are 18 mpg city, 28 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined.

Which 2017 Chrysler Pacifica trim should I buy?

The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, Touring, Touring L, Touring L Plus, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value play if you want the essentials without stretching your budget. You still get Stow-N-Go seating, Bluetooth, a backup camera, active noise cancelation, and the smaller touchscreen, so it covers the core family-use basics well.
• Touring: This trim is the step up if you want a little more comfort and convenience without jumping too far in price. It sits between the entry model and the better-equipped trims, making it a sensible middle ground for shoppers who want more than the basics.
• Touring L: This is the best-value trim for many used buyers because it adds leather seats, a power rear liftgate, and heated rear seats. If you want a more premium feel without going all the way to the top trim, this is the one to focus on.
• Touring L Plus: Choose this if rear-seat entertainment matters to your family. The Uconnect Theater system and added media inputs make it a strong pick for road trips and keeping passengers occupied.
• Limited: This is the luxury-leaning choice, with front-seat ventilation, navigation, a panoramic sunroof, a built-in vacuum, and 20-inch wheels. It makes sense if you want the most upscale Pacifica experience and are willing to pay for it.

The Advanced SafetyTec Package is available only on Touring L Plus and Limited, so those trims are the ones to target if you want the most advanced driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Chrysler Pacifica?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop carefully and still find a decent deal.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,964 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.62% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,798, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica's resale value?

The current average of $11,798 sits slightly below last year's $12,771.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help if you buy now and hold it for a while. For a future seller, that also means your resale outcome will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history rather than market momentum alone. Well-kept examples should be easier to move than neglected ones because shoppers in this segment tend to reward clean history and strong ownership records.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica safe?

The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica earns 8/10 safety score from our experts.

All models come standard with front and side impact airbags, the LATCH child-seat anchoring system, and a backup camera. The available SafetyTec Package adds blind-spot monitoring, ParkSense, and rear cross-path detection, while the Advanced SafetyTec Package adds a 360-degree surround-view camera, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. That more advanced package is limited to Touring L Plus and Limited, so base-trim shoppers miss out on some of the most desirable driver-assistance features.

Should I buy a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It represents Chrysler’s clean-sheet minivan redesign, with a modern platform and a strong mix of space, technology, and family-focused features.

The bottom line: The 2017 Pacifica makes sense if you want the fresh redesign, strong owner satisfaction, and a market that has already softened enough to create buying opportunities. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep shopping the cleanest, best-documented examples and focus on the trims that match your feature priorities rather than paying extra for equipment you may not use.
