How much does the 2017 Cadillac Escalade ESV cost?

Is the 2017 Cadillac Escalade ESV a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the overview backs that up with a clear focus on space, presence, and premium features. You get a long-wheelbase luxury SUV with three rows, generous cargo room, upscale materials, and a strong mix of comfort and capability. It is especially well suited if you want to carry people and luggage without giving up a luxury feel, though poor fuel economy and older-feeling technology are part of the tradeoff. 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Cadillac Escalade ESV reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a vehicle built around comfort, space, and premium equipment, with features like heated front and second-row seats, a power third row, and advanced driver-assistance technology. It also notes that the infotainment setup includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot, which helps the cabin feel more usable day to day. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the vehicle’s luxury systems and overall condition have been maintained well enough to preserve that upscale experience.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

At 57.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with accident records. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on the body, interior electronics, and any features that are expensive to repair. Because this model is a large luxury SUV, condition matters a lot: you want to pay close attention to signs of wear, deferred maintenance, and how well the premium equipment still works.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

If you find a listing below $22,553, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Cadillac Escalade ESV's resale value?

The current average of $22,577 sits slightly below last year's $24,933.

That decline suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price carefully to stay competitive. If you buy well now and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it comes time to resell. Large luxury SUVs can still attract interest when they are clean, well maintained, and priced in line with the market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Cadillac Escalade ESV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.45% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

If you want a spacious, upscale three-row SUV and you value the 2017’s combination of price softness, strong owner satisfaction, and luxury-focused utility, this is the year to target first. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2017’s current market position and feature set.
