How much does the 2016 Porsche Macan cost?

Prices have softened 11.55% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 762 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2016 Porsche Macan a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2016 Porsche Macan stands out as a compact SUV that puts driving enjoyment ahead of pure practicality, with a smaller, more nimble feel than the Cayenne and a strong connection to Porsche’s sports-car character. It also gives you a choice between decent power and stronger performance, while all versions use all-wheel drive and a seven-speed PDK automatic transmission. For shoppers who value a sporty driving experience and a premium feel more than maximum roominess, that makes it an appealing pick. 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2016 Porsche Macan reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2016 Macan is described as having a strong reliability record, which is a meaningful plus for used buyers. Its cabin is also described as high-quality, and the model comes well equipped even in earlier form. For long-term ownership, that combination suggests less day-to-day worry than you might expect from a performance-focused luxury SUV, though you should still pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Porsche Macan?

At 67.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any Macan you’re seriously considering and confirm whether the car has had any collision repairs. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on bodywork quality, panel alignment, and signs of uneven wear, since condition can vary from one used example to the next. It also makes sense to prioritize service records and overall maintenance consistency, especially on a performance-oriented luxury SUV.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Porsche Macan?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough price softness to create opportunities.

• Deal availability: 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 762 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.55% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 67.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,329, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Porsche Macan's resale value?

The current average of $17,467 sits slightly below last year's $19,748.

That price decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that a well-kept Macan should still benefit from steady demand, but you may not see the same pricing strength if the broader market continues to soften. Condition, mileage, and service history will matter a lot when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Porsche Macan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.55% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2016 Macan is the right choice if you want the model’s sporty character, strong owner satisfaction, and a market that currently offers some pricing leverage. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still be worth comparing, but the 2016 stands out as a compelling balance of driving enjoyment and current value.
