Used 2016 Porsche Macan for Sale nearMinneapolis, MN

How much does the 2016 Porsche Macan cost?

Prices have softened 12.29% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 756 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used examples to compare.

Is the 2016 Porsche Macan a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Porsche Macan earns a 5/5 user rating, and its appeal is centered on driving enjoyment ahead of pure practicality. It was designed to feel sportier than most rivals, with a smaller, more nimble character than the Cayenne and a strong connection to Porsche’s sports-car personality.

For you, that means the Macan makes the most sense if you want a compact SUV that prioritizes performance, a high-quality cabin, and a premium feel over maximum interior space. The tradeoff is that rear-seat room is below average and the cabin is not especially spacious.

36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2016 Porsche Macan reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2016 Macan is described as having a strong reliability record, which supports its appeal as a used luxury SUV. Its cabin quality and well-equipped nature also help it feel like a durable premium choice rather than a stripped-down performance model.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the concept of the vehicle and more about finding one that has been maintained properly and hasn’t been worn hard by its performance-focused use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Porsche Macan?

At 67.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a full vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage or repeated claims. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on suspension, brakes, tires, and any signs of uneven wear that could point to harder use.

Because the Macan is a performance-oriented SUV, condition matters more than mileage alone. Focus on service records, signs of careful ownership, and whether the cabin and mechanical components match the asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Porsche Macan?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep buyer’s-market discount on every listing.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 756 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.29% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 67.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,344, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Porsche Macan's resale value?

The current average of $17,448 sits slightly below last year's $19,893.

That price movement suggests the Macan has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. If you purchase near the lower end of the current range and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it comes time to resell.

Because demand tends to stay healthier for well-regarded premium SUVs, a clean, well-maintained example should remain easier to move than one with accident history or visible wear. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Porsche Macan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.29% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2016 Macan is the right pick if you want a compact luxury SUV that leans into performance, has a strong satisfaction signal, and is currently priced below where it was a year ago. If you’re more price-sensitive, you should still shop this year carefully because the market offers a decent number of deals, but you’ll want to focus on clean-history examples with strong condition and documentation.
