How much does the 2016 Porsche Macan cost?

Prices have softened 13.08% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 749 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2016 Porsche Macan a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2016 Macan stands out because it brings Porsche’s sportier personality to the compact SUV class, with all-wheel drive, a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission, and a five-seat layout that emphasizes driving enjoyment over maximum space. It is a more nimble alternative to the larger Cayenne, and the base model’s standard equipment includes three-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, and lane-departure warning. That mix of performance and luxury makes it appealing if you want a premium SUV that feels more engaging than most, though the rear seat is below average and higher-powered versions can be less efficient. 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Porsche Macan reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2016 Macan is described as benefiting from Porsche’s strong reputation for reliability and a well-finished cabin, with early examples already offering useful equipment such as electric front seat adjustment, electric folding door mirrors, and a power tailgate. Its premium construction and strong standard equipment support confidence for used buyers, but you should still expect ownership costs to reflect its luxury positioning.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic durability and more about keeping up with premium maintenance and repair costs over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Porsche Macan?

At 67.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put a pre-purchase inspection at the top of your list, especially if the vehicle has higher mileage or optional equipment such as air suspension, ceramic brakes, or the panoramic roof. Focus on overall condition, service records, and signs of wear that could be expensive to address on a premium SUV.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Porsche Macan?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and deal activity to shop carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 749 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 67.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,575, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Porsche Macan's resale value?

The current average of $17,609 sits slightly below last year's $20,260.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the softer pricing means resale upside may depend more on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market momentum. Well-kept examples with desirable options should still attract attention, but you should expect buyers to be selective.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Porsche Macan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2016 is the right pick if you want the Macan’s stronger standard equipment and a market that currently offers meaningful deal potential. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing for a lower entry cost, but the 2016 remains the better all-around choice if you value the updated equipment and want to shop from a sizable pool of listings.
