Is the 2016 Audi Q5 a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Audi Q5 earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its smooth driving experience, superb interior quality, and impressive performance, and many also value the spaciousness and premium features that make it comfortable and easy to live with. Is the 2016 Audi Q5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also highlights the Q5 as smooth, superbly built, and impressive to live with, which supports the case for dependable day-to-day ownership when the vehicle has been cared for properly. At the same time, used buyers should treat maintenance history seriously, because long-term ownership risk can rise quickly if prior service was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Audi Q5?

At 60.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you get too far into the process. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention on signs of prior body repair, suspension wear, and any evidence of leaks or unusual noises. Because condition varies meaningfully across listings, focus on maintenance records and overall mechanical health rather than just the asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Audi Q5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 954 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.41% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,309, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $11,309 sits slightly below last year's $12,622.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and documentation, since buyers will likely compare your vehicle against a broad set of similarly priced listings. A well-kept example with strong records should stand out more than one with gaps in maintenance or visible wear.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Q5 makes sense if you want a refined luxury SUV and can verify that the specific vehicle has been well maintained. If you’re price-sensitive, this year’s softer pricing and decent deal availability make it worth a close look; if you want a cleaner ownership story, you may want to compare carefully against nearby years and choose the best-documented example rather than the cheapest one.
