Is the 2015 RAM 2500 a good car?

Yes — the 2015 RAM 2500 earns a 4.88/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Is the 2015 RAM 2500 reliable?

The owner feedback highlights durability, dependable performance, and a truck that many drivers feel confident using for both work and everyday driving. That kind of praise suggests the model has a reputation for being trouble-free enough to inspire repeat confidence over the long term. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about the truck’s core appeal and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not worn down by hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 RAM 2500?

At 64.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean trucks from those with accident records. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the truck’s condition, especially signs of heavy-duty use, wear, or poor maintenance. Focus on the areas that matter most in a used work truck: overall mechanical condition, evidence of consistent care, and whether the truck’s current state matches its asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 RAM 2500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Inventory: There are 1,420 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.51% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,297, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 RAM 2500's resale value?

The current average of $26,021 sits slightly below last year's $27,539.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also means future resale will depend heavily on how well the truck is maintained and presented. If you keep mileage, condition, and service history in good shape, you’ll be better positioned when it’s time to sell. Trucks that stay desirable in the used market tend to hold value better when buyers see strong owner satisfaction and broad appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2015 RAM 2500 is a strong choice if you want a heavy-duty truck with proven owner satisfaction, a comfortable cabin, and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-maintained truck rather than the newest one available.
