overall

Summary
With 445 currently listed for sale and an average price of $13,284.00, 29.9% of 2015 INFINITI Q50s for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2015 INFINITI Q50 4.63 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.33 / 10.
44.9% of 2015 Q50 models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2015 INFINITI Q50 stands out for its unusual range of personalities. Depending on how it is set up, it can be a comfortable and quick all-weather performer, a modern and advanced technological tour de force, a fuel-efficient luxury car, or a fast and furious sports sedan. That flexibility, along with its appealing design, gives it a broader appeal than its sales might suggest.
Its most distinctive trait is Direct Adaptive Steering, which made the car feel artificial enough to be compared to a video game. That same technology-forward character is part of what makes the Q50 interesting, but it also helps explain why the car may not suit every driver. Buyers drawn to luxury, performance, and features are likely to find plenty to like, while those who value a more natural steering feel may find its biggest innovation less convincing.
Owners also tend to praise the 2015 INFINITI Q50 for its luxury, performance, and features, as well as its powerful engine, smooth handling, and stylish design. At the same time, some note limited trunk space, a laggy touch screen, and a bit of road noise compared with sportier models.

The car is a great car and has wonderful features. Lets start with the good. It has plenty of power, it rides real smooth, the sound system is good and it seems to be a reliable vehicle. The cons. Trunk space is very limited, the touch screen system seems a bit laggy. Other than that I have not had any other issues with the vehicle.

Is the 2015 INFINITI Q50 a good car?
Yes — the 4.63/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the expert rating is 7.33/10.
The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Technology.
Owners consistently praise its luxury, performance, and features, along with its powerful engine, smooth handling, and stylish design.
The Q50’s overview also frames it as a car with unusual range: you can shop it as a comfortable all-weather performer, a fuel-efficient luxury car, or a sport sedan depending on setup.
That broad appeal helps explain why it can fit different priorities, and 21.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
Is the 2015 INFINITI Q50 reliable?
Owners rate it 4.63/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
Owners also describe it as dependable in the way it delivers luxury, performance, and features without losing its appeal over time.
The expert evaluation says Infiniti got right to work fixing complaints about the 2014 model, and that the car is likely to be just as durable and dependable as the G37 and G35 before it.
The same evaluation also notes that the Q50’s predicted reliability ratings are dismal, so used buyers should pay close attention to maintenance history and condition before committing.
What should I look for when buying a used 2015 INFINITI Q50?
At 46% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection matters here, especially if you’re comparing cars with similar prices but very different condition histories. Focus on signs of wear, electronics behavior, and whether the car feels sorted in everyday driving.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The base version is light on value, since leather seats are not standard and the premium equipment buyers often want sits higher in the lineup. The Premium trim is the one the cost discussion points to as the smarter step up, especially if you want more of the Q50’s luxury and feature content.
- Powertrain: The 3.7-liter V6 makes 328 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque, and the 7-speed automatic adapts to different driving styles. The hybrid is described as both more powerful and more fuel-efficient than the standard Q50 3.7.
- Safety package: The Technology Package brings Active Lane Control, Distance Control Assist, and Blind Spot Intervention. You have to get the Deluxe Touring Package first, which means you also have to accept Direct Adaptive Steering.
- Infotainment: The car uses Infiniti InTouch, InTouch Apps, and InTuition, with dual screens, a touch-sensitive upper navigation display, and smartphone streaming support. The text does not state wireless CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, or OTA capability.
- Fuel efficiency: The expert review says the car returned 19.2 mpg in weeklong driving, short of the official 23-mpg combined estimate.
Which 2015 INFINITI Q50 trim should I buy?
The 2015 INFINITI Q50 is offered in 3 trim levels: Standard, Premium, S.
Here's the short version:
- Standard: This is the entry point, but the cost discussion makes clear that it is the least compelling value because the equipment list is sparse for the money. It works if you want the Q50’s core design and driving character at the lowest starting point, but you’ll likely want to move up if you care about comfort and convenience.
- Premium: This is the best-value trim. The source specifically points to the Premium trim as the smarter place to spend your money, since it adds the equipment buyers are likely to want without pushing you all the way into the more specialized sport setup.
- S: Choose this if you want the sportier personality. The expert review highlights the S trim’s upgraded brakes and sport-tuned suspension, and says the right setup makes the car a blast to drive.
For safety equipment, the Technology Package sits above the trim structure and requires the Deluxe Touring Package first.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 INFINITI Q50?
This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile deals.
- Deal availability: 21.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 446 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 3.14% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 46.0% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $12,284.70, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2015 INFINITI Q50's resale value?
The current average of $13,160 sits slightly below last year's $13,587.
That kind of softening suggests the market has become a little more favorable for buyers than sellers. If you own one now, you should expect pricing pressure to remain tied to condition, mileage, and equipment level rather than broad market momentum.
Well-kept examples with desirable features should hold up better than rougher cars, especially because shoppers still respond to the Q50’s style, performance, and technology.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.63/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2015 INFINITI Q50 safe?
The Q50 gets decent crash-test ratings, but there is room for improvement.
It earns a 8/10 safety score from our experts.
Upgrade a Q50 with the Technology Package, and it comes with Active Lane Control, Distance Control Assist, and Blind Spot Intervention. Those systems can warn you or intervene if needed, and they’re easy to turn on and off.
The catch is that you must first get the Deluxe Touring Package to get the Technology Package, which means you also have to accept Direct Adaptive Steering.
The safety writeup also flags a weakness: the front passenger gets just a three-star rating in a frontal-impact collision, and the small-overlap frontal result is only Acceptable.
Should I buy a 2015 INFINITI Q50 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2015 if:
- 21.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 46% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 3.14% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.63/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The expert summary says the Q50’s mix of styling, tech, and performance should make it more popular than it is.
Consider the 2014 if:
- At $11,433, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $13,160 average.
- It launches Infiniti’s new naming, styling, and tech direction in one aggressive luxury sedan.
Consider the 2016 if:
- At $13,453, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $13,160 average.
- It feels more like a legitimate luxury sports sedan and is a more polished alternative.
The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of price, owner satisfaction, and market availability, the 2015 is the sensible target. If you’re shopping on a tighter budget, the 2014 can save you money, while the 2016 makes sense if you want the later update and are willing to pay more for it.
