How much does the 2014 Toyota Prius cost?

Prices are up 2.86% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 770 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2014 Toyota Prius a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Toyota Prius earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its great gas mileage, comfort, and spaciousness, and many also value its reliability and everyday practicality. That makes it a strong fit if you want a commuter-friendly hybrid with low running costs and useful cabin space. With 31.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Toyota Prius reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also highlights reliability, with many owners describing it as a dependable choice for commuting and deliveries. The recurring praise for value, fuel economy, and trouble-free everyday use reinforces that impression. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the hybrid system and battery condition are still in good shape.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Toyota Prius?

At 51% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. Put inspection priority on the hybrid system, battery health, and overall mechanical condition, since those areas matter most on an older hybrid. It also helps to focus on signs of wear that could affect daily use, especially if you plan to rely on the car for commuting.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Toyota Prius?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best examples.

• Deal availability: 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 770 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.86% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 51.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $9,952, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Toyota Prius's resale value?

The current average of $11,163 sits slightly above last year's $10,853.

That upward movement suggests the market still sees value in this model year, which can help support resale confidence if you buy carefully. Because prices are already trending higher, a well-kept example may hold its appeal better than a neglected one. Strong condition and clean history matter more when the market is already rewarding desirable listings.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Toyota Prius or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 51% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.86% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $12,517, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $11,163 average.
• It adds a more polished look and keeps the same practical efficiency focus.

The bottom line: If you want the lower-cost path, the 2014 is the better value play, especially if you can find a clean, well-priced example. If you're willing to spend more for a newer model year, the 2015 is the better secondary path.
