2009 Subaru Outback 2.5i Special Edition Review
by Jake

Outback

The performance is ok, the 2000 is actually a bit faster. its seems like a pretty sturdy car. hasnt needed any repairs. it looks so good compared to the older models. its much more expensive too but its worth it. its a fun car to drive especially with the features it has.

Avg. Dealer Rating: (3 reviews) "I am looking for the best price on a car. Manny, Sales & Leasing Manager from G. Miller tried over and over to sell me on the overall "experience" of buying car through them and their "Power of One" program - One person, one low price (hah) , one hour (meaning you only worked with one person throughout the entire process, rather than being shuffled between salesman, GM, Finance, etc. Despite their stated Power of One emphasis on "one low price", Manny fully admitted they were not the cheapest??? dealership, but spent all his verbiage trying to sell "the experience". Here are a couple of his statements: 1) "The sweetness of a low price fades quickly, with the bitterness of poor service." My reply - "I'm buying a vehicle - made of metal, plastic and rubber, NOT an experience." 2) His next response: "When I spend money somewhere, especially a significant amount, I want to have the absolute best experience money can buy. I always go back and shop/service places that go up and above, our customers feel the same way. Most people tend to not forget things like that.We know that we are not the cheapest and the customers that do business with us are aware as well, they pay more for the experience and treatment during/after the sale." My reply: You keep focusing on the experience, and that may be a selling point for YOU, and it might even be for me IF I was buying a service, like a massage, or something of that ilk, but I am not. And , let's get truthful, many people buy on emotion, and you and most dealers rely on that. But I am not looking for an emotional experience. I'm looking for a means of transportation." Of the 9 vehicles shopped, their offer was 2nd highest, and discount offered, just 7.09% - 2nd lowest. Have stopped communicating with them. Ended up buying from lowest priced dealer."
