Just introduced the year before, the Nissan Armada saw very few changes for 2005. New features do include a rear view camera.
The 2005 Armada comes in two trims, the SE and LE, both of which come in various incarnations. The SE is available as a 4WD, 2WD, and the Off Road version. The LE is the more luxurious version, and is available as a 4WD or 2WD and comes standard with posh options like leather seating. The Armada has a 5.8-liter V8 engine that offers 305 horsepower.
Drivers like the Armada because it offers lots of cargo and passenger space, and it handles surprisingly well for its bulk. However, many drivers have had serious problems with the brakes and tires wearing out.

(14 reviews)I really love my Armada. It has 60k on it and still drives like a dream. All the bells and whistles, including back-up camera, navigation, sunroof, Bose 6-disc stereo, etc. I love all the space! Really powerful engine too, so no worries when you need to get up and go. Not great on gas if you don't drive strategically, but we get a solid 19 mpg on the highway.
I really like the features with these models. Yes its a decent value. Only thing missing that I enjoy having in a vehicle is the touch screen in dash. I would compare these models to a pathfinder. They are pretty similar in comparison and including price point.
Its a family TANK!.REALLY NICE suv JUST GETS HORRIBLE GAS MILEAGE. You feel very safe in this vehicle and it has every thing you could think of in it. DVD, Navigation, rear AC, multidisc CD stereo. Room for all the family plus a few extra. Seats 7!
For seven real adults full seated good vehicle for long trips but commodity is not cheap.
This car still stalls randomly (high speeds, low speeds, idling, pulling out in traffic and coasting). Quite a dangerous situation. Have taken it into Nissan 5 different times in an effort to cure the problem. Like pulling teeth with them to get a rental for me - even though I have the extended srevice warranty. People at Nissan Corporate are somewhere between clueless and careless. Last Nissan I'll ever own.
