The EX adds a roof rack, rear window wiper, cruise control, and leather trim. Leather seats are optional. Though the Sportage represents a great value for the money, making it attractive to those looking for fun on a budget, many owners complain of frequent costly repair visits, despite Kia's warranty program. The most common problems are with the 4WD failing and early brake wear. Other downsides include an underpowered engine, wind noise, a rattling rear hatch, and cupholders that block the air vents.
