Best car I have ever driven or owned. The quality of the car is amazing. I love the feel of it. The performance is nice, has some get up and go to it. It is an affordable sports car that if you don't have, you should get.

Now this review is going to how this car was before it was sold and bought back. Performance - The performance was very pleasing. With just a couple of small modifications, it was easily performing with Mustang GT's and Camaros. The handling was the gem of this vehicle. I replaced the stock struts and springs with adjustable coilovers. The unibody was rigid and with the lower center of gravity was a force to be reckoned with around any curvy stretch of pavement. Build Quality - These cars are renowned for breaking down and being unreliable. I disagree. I put mine through the paces and with the mileage and what type of mileage (very very very hard miles) it withstood more than I would have ever imagined. Appearance - This particular model was never my favorite styling. I have always preferred the 97-99 models. The good news is that I am switching the styling of this vehicle over to the 97-99 styling. Cost of Ownership - Amazing gas mileage considering the performance! I regularly recieved 25-30 mpg. My only complaint is the price of synthetic oil which was required because of the turbo. Also, the vehicle required 93 octane fuel. So there was trade offs for the performance. Still not that bad of a trade off considering what this car was capable of. Fun Factor - I've owned several vehicles over the years and drove more than my fair share of performance cars. I would have to say I miss this car the most out of all of them. I can think of a particular time that I was driving. I wasn't in a hurry to be anywhere. I really was just out to be out of the house. I wasn't in a good mood or a bad mood. I realized a few miles down the road that I was smiling. And the only reason why I could imagine that I was smiling was because I was driving this car.

The car is a great first car. Easy to work on and great on gas, 33mpg. I bought the car in feb 2003 and sold her in december 2007. Never had an engine or tranny related problem. Not a fan of the electrical on the 420a engine though... I had feedback from the ignition coil pack and it fried the ECU and the Auto shut down Relay for the injectors.

I loved this car, it had a nice bodykit, rims, masterflow, and many more after market stuff. Its good on gas, its a head turner. Blew the engine while trying to be a show off! :/ RIP dear eclipse ... you will be missed =p
