Used 1994 Mitsubishi Eclipse Base for Sale near Baton Rouge, LA

As far as performance is concerned, this is not your car. Starting at 90 hp, it's one of the slowest cars that I have driven. It's unfortunately thought of as a fairly fast car. While I'm sure it's possible, this model isn't it. Go for the 2.0L turbo for the most power.

This was not the crazy awesome Eclipse GSX, but it was a nice car nonetheless. It had Mitsubishi's humble 4g37 engine, a 1.8L 2V inline 4 that produced 92 hard working horses and a full fledged 105ft lbs of torque. Ok, so the car had no guts - but you could tell it was giving it's all! And it wasn't necessarly slow, I had it up to about 120mph one night (going downhill of course), but acceleration was probably lacking. Nice thing was that the engine was non-interference unlike it's GS and GSX siblings, so you never had to worry about timing belt failure. This car was extremely reliabile and dependable. I purchased it at around 115k and drove it nearly 50,000 miles in two years. It never had a single issue, and achieved decent fuel economy (33mpg). The brakes on this car were great, it could really stop on a dime. I loved the standard foglights, the way the stereo sounded, and how the AC blew ice, this was my first car and it was a good car:) My only gripe about this car was the comfort, after riding about a half hour your lower back really began to hurt. And I wasn't the only one saying this, I had many friends that felt the same also. It seemed as if there was a "black hole" on the bottom of the seat that gave no support to your lower back. I probably still would of had this car today, but unfortunately I totalled it on a country road. I was very stupid at the time.
