For 1994, the Mazda 929 finally got a cup holder. The engine also lost two horsepower to meet emissions standards. The 1994 Mazda 929 only came in one trim level, but it was well-equipped, with a sunroof, power everything, and air conditioning. The engine was a 3.0-liter, 195 horsepower V6. Fuel economy was 19/24. The 1994 Mazda 929 gets high marks for its good looks, luxury-like features, roomy interior, and fun-to-drive rear-wheel drive. Many owners complain about simple things that are missing, like a glovebox and tilt wheel. Others caution that parts are very expensive when repairs need to be done.

This was one of Mazda's first attempt for the large luxury sedan. It was rear wheel drive and used a version of the Ford Duratech V-6. It was probably one of the more oddball cars I owned, you don't see too many of then on the road today. It was large, reliable, great looking interior, and handled good for a car it's size.

Has had a lot of repairs. Drives nice when it is well tuned and has a spiffy look about it when it is all cleaned up. Has some power on takeoff. Love the sunroof and the interior of the car all add to it's overall appearance.

I bought the car used for it's clean looks and kept it for 8 years due to it's solid ride. I learned a hard lesson on dropping the tranny to drift and spent 2200 on a new tranny. I just sold it and feel I have let a good one go. Definitly a crowd and owner favorite!!! Great car but things were starting to break, bye baby.
