I owned a 1992 Buick Skylark from 1999 to 2006. It wasn't a bad car when it ran right. It got reasonably good mileage, had good performance, and plenty of room. However, after more than a decade it was falling apart. The AC was weak, the door handle never stood in place, and it was rusted through and through. I can't tell you how many times I mechanic was able to tell it had spent over 11 winters in NY just by looking at the underside. Finding parts for it was hard and it needed a lot of major repairs ($300 to $900). Ten years ago it was probably a nice car, but now...I wouldn't recommend buying one. Even if it was in excellent condition you couldn't find parts for it.
