Just a plain old truck. Weak 4 cylinder engine, 5 speed manual. 4 wheel drive. Slow and thirsty for what it is, but otherwise cheap to drive. Not much room in back, but the dog fits fine. It is one of the best looking small trucks in my opinion.

Had the 1990 for about 5-1/2 years, over 200K and still going strong. Nothing major has been done apart from the usual maintenance. 4 cyclinder carburated engine just keeps going and going. Great little workhorse.

This was my dad's second Mazda B-series. He bought it from the original owner in 1998 when he was stationed in Norfolk, because he wanted a pickup to haul stuff around in and a commuter vehicle. It had air-conditioning, unlike the 1986 B-series, and it blew ice cubes. It had the LE-5 luxury trim package, which added alloy wheels and pinstripes, but not much else. I do believe it had anti-lock brakes. In terms of handling, it's a pickup, so it was no sports car, but it was pretty fun to drive. It had a five-speed manual transmission and a peppy little 4-cylinder, so it was good on gas. It did develop a nasty oil leak, and it overheated once, in addition to surviving a rear end collision with a Chevy pickup, but it was very reliable.
