Essentially an upscale turbocharged version of the Audi 100, the 1990 Audi 200 offered that extra acceleration and push that seemed lacking in the 100. It was available as either a front-wheel drive sedan, a quattro AWD sedan, or a quattro wagon, all carrying a 2.2-liter, 5-cylinder, 162-hp engine under their hood. The regular sedan came as a 3-speed automatic, and the quattro models as a 5-speed manual. What the 1990 Audi 200 offered was roomy comfort on the inside, with stylish looks on the outside, and a responsive pickup that, thanks to the turbo, set you soaring down the road. Loads of standard luxuries filled the Audi 200, including power adjustable front seats with memory, heated mirrors, a trip computer, fog lights, leather seats (cloth was optional!) and trim on the steering wheel, power sunroof, and cruise control. ABS brakes are standard on all trims. This was one classy car, and so quiet and smooth to ride that you truly did feel you were in the lap of luxury. Drivers mention its light handling, precision steering, firm traction, and the quattro power to handle snowy climates. Mostly, it's fast and fun, with a sense of sportiness tossed in. High maintenance costs are a hallmark of all Audis, and some owners report problems with the electrical system and the sunroof.

These cars were way ahead of their time. the interior was something Detroit STILL could not touch today -- 18 years later. The car got 20 MPG, was fast, big and comfortable and had power everything. Also it was untouchable in the snow, AWD with a locking rear diff!! who does that? so cool. After 130k miles the mechanicals started to go and that got VERY expensive. The cluth assembly was like a grand, the brakes were a grand, the turbo was 2 grand, the intercooler was a grand, etc etc. Great car though.

Går no greitt, kjem seg fram men begynde å bli litt gammal? Må skru litt av og til (deler kan være vanskelig å få tak i, og dyre..) men dritartig å køyre på vinterstid hvertfall! Kem bryr seg om bensinforbruk så lenge man har det moro?

CarGurus doesn't allow me to enter the correct model year, 1980, I guess they don't know much about European cars. In any case, the car drove reasonably well. Fast in a straight line but a bit front heavy when cornering. A rather dull looking car costing a fortune to repair due to ridiculous prices on spare parts.

Audi 200 20V Turbo 220hk 0-100 6.5sek 245km/t. Fed, hurtig og komfortabel bil. Elsker lyden af de 5 cylindre der findes ikke bedre :o) Kan fÃ¥s for rigemelige billige penge i forhodld til andre konkurenter, ogsÃ¥ ruster den jo ikke. Audis top model tilbage i slut 80er og starten af 90erne.

I bought this car to replace my two previous cars...I was sick of having a summer and winter car. This car seemed like a great deal considering it was AWD, German, and quite unique. This car turned out to be pretty fun when it ran, but most of the time I was spending a lot of money keeping it running...while in high school no less. Just a terrible car for anyone who wants reliability and/or performance. Really really slow...despite a turbo...I can't imagine driving this thing if it was N/A. Pretty much turned me off to German cars. I will never own a German car that isn't brand new and under a full warranty.
