This was my dad's car. 25HP, 3 speed manual transmission. Non synchro first gear. Maximum speed was about 55 mph. I learned to drive in this car when I was 15 (1963). Very scary driving on the Hollywood Fwy. It had a tough time making it over the Cahuenga Pass. Compared to the Dauphine, my Dad's 1964 VW bug felt like a Cadillac. The Duaphine's doors and body felt very frail compared to the VW. The engine was pitiful - water-cooled in the rear. But it worked!

Renault Dauphine R1090 de 1958 PEU Avec des Nations Unies d'accessoires d'origine, Enjoliveurs à rondelle laiton baguette, je-ne-sel Pas si Elles SONT d'origine, MAIS ELLES y etait Quand l'UE JE L'AI baguette de capot d'UNE 56, batterie cache Dauflor charnières de capot Gordini et bientot sièges couchettes

A lovely little car that just appeared one day, and stayed, so I took it to pieces. Then it found a friend, so i took it to pieces too.
