Then the GM got pushy stating that if I like the vehicle then just buy it. Furthermore you could see that the vehicle had been in an unreported accident. Panels not lining up etc. I got a reassurance from the salesman that the service department goes over every vehicle and they are in tip-top shape. Yet this service department missed the fact that the transmission dip stick had been broken and a wood screw was being used as a handle. The last and final thing was the price. The salesman quoted $16999. This was to I assume get me inside the building. Once he sat down at his computer though and looked at the truck online the price went up to $17491 stating that he made a mistake. Horrible buying experience."

I called the dealer to make sure there isn't corrosion. The car had extremely low mileage for being a 2001. The dealer told me that there was no corrosion. I was seriously considering the car. I was traveling from Vancouver, WA up to Everett (4 hour drive w/traffic). I wanted to make sure the car was in good condition before heading out. The dealer confirmed that the car was in excellent condition. When I came to the dealership, I opened the trunk and found that everything that wasn't aluminum was corroding. Drive the car; yes it drove nicely. Came back from test drive opened the trunk, pulled out the spare tire and found that it was sitting in water with rust on the bottom. I also learned from carfax that the car came in and out is auction several times recently. Anyway, had to drive home with no car... Would not recommend this place. The guy knew I was coming from Vancouver WA which isn't very close, and lied so that I wouldn't turn back around."

He IS the A-Typical reason some dealers get a bad reputation. Prior to negotiations I said "If you intend to low-ball my trade-in let me know now so I can move on." The response was "Oh no, we will be more then fair." The NADA value on my vintage, rare corvette with less then 15,000 miles was 43,000. They offered me 10. I'm an Aircraft Engineer by trade and the jack*** sales manager treated me like a fool. Drive on by this place. If you don't, expect to be lied too, dishonesty, and be treated like a moron. Better yet go in with no intention of buying and see why 'used car salesmen' get such a bad rap. This place deserves it!"
