Mike acted and spoke as if the Elantra was the last one available in California,and that we would be lucky to purchase it. He refused to answer basic financing questions and car options. He wasted our time. I went to a Hyundai dealer in another city and purchased a Sonata the next weekend. Great cars, poor salesmanship."

The car that I was interested in was "certified" but had nearly bald tire on the rear (should be >60% tread to be certified). This concerned me a little, as I expect a certified car to meet certain standards, and this could be an indication of other missed items. I did make an offer for the car, which included replacement of the rear tires, and after the sales manager did not accept my offer, I left. I then received at least 10 phone calls from them to come back, although they made it clear that they would not adjust the price from their advertised sale price, and I also made it clear that my offer was final during each phone call (this was a bit annoying - why they kept calling me?). Eventually, I found a car at another Chevrolet dealer that I believe was a better deal, and a better experience. Although I think this dealer is acceptable, it does not compare to the experience I received at a competitor Chevrolet dealer."
