2005 Chevrolet Astro Cargo Van 3 Dr STD Cargo Van Extended Review
by Nadeem

Might as well have lived in it!

I drive this this thing 10-14hrs a day, it's not bad on gas for a heavy ladder van full of tools and equipment. I'ts a good van, the only problem would be the steering, it's not very precise, you have to keep adjusting for center because it not very responsive

Avg. Dealer Rating: (4 reviews) "I had scheduled an appointment to see a vechile a week from the time I set the appointment. I even told the person that I scheduled the appointment with what else I was looking for. I received 5 calls that week asking what else I was looking for. Because I am a busy mom of three I didn't respond, and then I received a barrade of emails asking the same thing. I then replied iwth my frustration that the first sales man hadn't listened. Then when I showed up on Saturday, they claimed the vechile was being sold. So my husband and I left. We get a nasty call from the first sales man asking where were. I explained the situation and he told us that we went to the wrong dealership. Yes there are a million Joe Machens in Columbia, but we had given our name and that should have been good enough. We looked at the vechile it didn't meet our needs, so he made a comment that he thought I was planning on buying it. I told him that I thought he of all people would understand the difference at looking at a car and buying a car. They asked us if we would like to finance with them after we explained we had a budget we would like to maintain and weren't concerned about the size of the payment but about becoming debt free. Over and over they asked us to increase our budget and to finance with them claiming to get us the best deal. And when we would refuse their advances they would claim we will never find what we want, and not just once did they tell us that, but several times. I found them highly unprofessional and rude. My dad told me a story about when he was in his 20's he had cash up front to buy a new truck and because he was a sheet rock worker and dirty they ignored him. He went to the Chevy dealer and got a brand new truck the same day. They have always been inconsiderate and will always be about the money not the customer. My advice is to not go to JOE MACHENS! They don't meet the need of the customer but of their pocket book."
