I went to purchase a Honda civic that was advertised as 18285.00 a 2012 with about19,000 miles on it I checked the car fax, no accidents, the car fax also stated car was certified the month before offered for sale. The price of the car had dropped 2x. The ad also state 2.9% fin. On used cars. I contacted Honda City and said I wanted to see that car,it was arranged. sounded like a great deal, I had been looking for awhile. Then it came to the actual deal to get the low interest rate I would have to pay for car certified and extent warrantee to four years 1500$. Now car is 19785 & tax, doc etc. But than I get to finance. And he tells me finance charge is 7%. I get up to walk He comes down to 4.9 I said no Well give him a moment he"LL take care of me all things are dragged out states he did not known car was certified we can do 3.29% Iget up and walk out. He comes back with 2.79% but then tell me when I come back that I have to buy the extended warrantee because I am financing for a longer period. I state I have an extended warrantee. No I paid to get the car certified. The car was advertised as certified online on guru and car fax as certified. On sale at reduced price 18285. Price increased 19785. And I no proof of extend warrantee. Another manager comes in and we discuss the problem. I have no proof of extended warrantee. They tell me that they shift placement of cost to show placement of warrentee. They. Really just add another seven almost eight hundred dollars to price. I unfortunately was so tiered by then and wanted to go home. I did not see it then. There were other distracters distracters like only one key, they did make me one, I waited 1.5 hours more for it. No manual, later replaced it. There's more but that is enough. I will say I noticed staff worked hard, try to resolve issues. When management was asked directly about the difference in price answers given were "we have to do that way to stay competive" and " that the price of doing business".
