I HATE this car! Everything has broken on it, including the alternator TWO times, the a/c, the trunk latch, the rear view mirror, the middle console latch, its had a few holes in hoses, the egr valve broke completely off for my engine, its a crappy car! Never buy one!

My wife bought this car for us when I deployed to Iraq in 2006. At first I was worried, as I haven't been impressed with an American car in awhile, especially an American compact. This is, quite possibly the BEST car Ford ahs built in awhile. It has amazing performance for a bone-stock 2.3L car. I do wish it was a five-speed though...

Overall I am pleased with the car. I am not happy that I have had to replace the ignition at significant cost, but I have to drive something and it is to costly to drive my 96 T-bird. Gas mileag is good at 30-32 mpg. Acceleration is lacking (4 cylinder), but a very economical car to drive.

uncomfortable ride, lacks pick up on acceleration.

This car was fine, up until the ENGINE decided to blow up after 12000 miles. ford would warranty it because I put an aftermarket air intake on it. BS.

My focus was well priced and has been a good, reliable car it isn't the most glamorous or sporty vehicle but you could do a lot worse.
Pros:
Good boot and interior space, decent handling and fairly low maintenance.
Cons:
A little slow off the mark, not the prettiest of cars and the headlights aren't the best
