For its size it doesn't get bad gas milage. it takes as much fuel as a v6 mustang. Love the handling and the 4x4. however this one has a flawed tranny that si starting to have issues despite not beign that old.

The Explorer is a midsized SUV, that’s extremely reliable as well as very stylish. The Explorer is a No frills reliable truck, that get’s decent high way mileage. Some of the newer models step up the options available, but this truck really shines without those extra gadgets.

reliable, tough, roomy, powerful
Cons —
low fuel economy, wider turning radius then smaller trucks

I have no problems with the Explorer. It's a comfortable ride and provides plenty of room without making the vehicle seem 'too big'. Seven seats and even the rear ones provide leg room, enough for an adult. |
