2001 Toyota Corolla Reviews
Great on gas; good on looks. The 2001 TOyota Corolla was built in a California plant by American workers. A reliable car with a small, but fairly peppy 1.8L VVTI engine, getting as high (from personal experience) as 41 mpg. The paint is in excellent shape, and it's fairly easy to repair. Most components are easily accesible under the hood, or underneath the car. Maintenance and upkeep are typical of any Toyota (tires, oil changes, brakes, etc), with minor need for major repairs. I've driven this car for about two years, purchased with 80,000 miles, it now has over 132,000 and has only had a Mass Airflow Sensor go bad, but still ran even then (just hard, and idle was rough). Body style was only out for two years, giving it a more unique look. Would make an excellent ricer car, or sleeper.
Pros: excellent gas mileage; easy to maneuver; tight turning radius; sticks to the road
Cons: acceleration isn't the best; small trunk (only able to fit 2 12's and 2 8's); interior is very susceptible to sunbleaching and warping in extreme heat.
2001 Used Toyota Corolla S: its an ok car... this car has like 125000 miles on it and is sill running strong.. just drove it today and the acceleration is still good after all these years
Pros: ....
Cons: getting old and alot of miles
2001 Used Toyota Corolla LE:
Worst car I have owned
Well, It is a Toyota Corolla - not much to look at, not much fun to drive and not really all that reliable. Needed a new engine with only 82,000 miles on it.
The interior bits and pieces rattle, there are no ABS brakes, and the ride is not all that comfortable.
On the other hand the resale value stays fairly high, and it does not use very much gas.
Yet I can't wait to get rid of it and get something a lot more fun to drive.
Pros: Doesn't use much gas
Cons: Looks cheap, rattles, takes forever to get up to speed, not really that reliable.
2001 Used Toyota Corolla CE: #6... Love it, couldn't afford it, went to a good home, my mom has it.
Pros: Cute, Manual, Reliable
Cons: none really...no power windows or locks i guess?!
2001 Used Toyota Corolla CE: !!! good car just have bad luck with it...
Pros: good car
Cons: got ripped off
