2004 Used Ford Explorer XLT Sport V6: Stick to Heavy Duty Trucks only when buying a FORD Have 2004 Ford Explorer XLT Sport and the problems will just never stop coming. First the recall on the transmission solenoid, which still slams when going into reverse after taking it into the dealer three times. The rear power windows have stopped working, and the ABS light and tire pressure light comes on, even when all tires are to full capacity. Dealer checked on ABS, only to say that the ABS computer module is deffective and will cost over $800.00 dollars to be replaced. Overall FORD is Fix Or Repair Daily, and they have had all these years to get it right and still have a long way to go.

Nuts and bolts seem fine; electronics breaks Driving and handling is fine by me; electronics seem to set out after 80000-90000 miles.
2004 Used Ford Explorer Limited V8 4WD: This is the all around vehicle! Family-Sport-Business My wife drives a 2004 Limited V8 4WD, This thing is loaded every option except Tow Package. I have backed it out of the garage whith 16 inches of snow and it drove right through it no problem, We take it on vacations and travel around in it with a 5 star crash rating and all the luxury anementies you could ask for in a vehicle. I know it has a dated look but it has been one of the most dependable vehicles I have had.
