Aimed at families, with a 5-star safety rating, three rows of seats for 7 passengers, and plenty of cupholders and storage compartments, the 2003 Kia Sedona LX is a front-wheel drive van powered by a 3.5-liter, 195-hp DOHC V6 engine and 5-speed automatic.  It sits on 15-inch wheels and comes with standard dual front airbags.  Side impact bags are not offered.  ABS brakes are optional.  New this year, the 2004 Sedona LX gets a standard CD player, which accompanies full power features, cruise control, a tachometer, privacy glass, dual manual sliding doors, and front and rear wipers.

A new option this year is a trailer hitch to two up to 3500 pounds.  Other options include a rear spoiler and a roof rack.  The heavy minivan gets around 15/21 mpg and holds up to 128 cubic feet of storage once the second and third row seats are removed.  These seats are cumbersome, however, according to drivers of the 2003 Sedona LX.  They do like its hauling power, comfortable and roomy interior, safe and solid feel, and overall style.  Poor fuel economy is the biggest complaint, as is the lack of cargo space with all three rows in the van.
