[Edit] The 2008 Honda Civic DX is the base model for the newly redesigned front-wheel drive sedan. A 1.8-liter, 140-hp, 16-valve inline-four engine is matched to a 5-speed manual transmission. The compact sedan rides on an independent suspension with front struts and rear double wishbone. 15-inch wheels with all-season tires are standard, but you can substitute 16- or 17-inch ones. Earning mostly five stars (four in side impact), the 2008 Civic DX features 4-wheel ABS brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, dual front-side airbags and side curtain airbags for both rows, and front head restraints. Daytime running lights, halogen lamps, and a tire monitor are also included.
