2008 Ford Expedition XLT

As the entry-level Expedition available for 2008, the XLT comes with a limited list of standard features, but still includes AdvanceTrac traction control with Roll Stability Control (RSC), Ford's Safety Canopy system with side airbags, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

Other standard features include first-row cloth captain's chairs, power windows and door locks, speed control, an MP3 input jack for the sound system, and a keyless entry keypad, which is a new feature for 2008.

A 300-horsepower, 5.4-liter V8 engine ably drives the Expedition XLT, though gas mileage suffers. The engine links to a six-speed overdrive transmission.

The two-wheel-drive Expedition XLT seats eight passengers. A fully boxed frame, independent rear suspension, front fog lights, and an underbody full-size spare tire are among its other features.
