2008 Ford Expedition King Ranch 4WD

The Expedition King Ranch 4WD, which makes its debut for the 2008 model year, combines high-end luxury features with Ford's ControlTrac 4X4 System, ensuring that drivers ride safely as well as in comfort. The ControlTrac gives drivers the capability to control the 4X4 system by turning a rotary knob to select high or low four-wheel-drive mode, 4X4 Auto (which transfers power to the appropriate wheels), or two-wheel-drive mode.

Inside, the King Ranch 4WD coddles passengers with new low-backed, Chaparral leather-trimmed front captain's chairs, which feature two-way adjustable restraints and 10-way power adjustment for the driver's seat. The front seats are also heated and cooled with three comfort settings.

Other special features in the Expedition King Ranch 4WD include woodtone applique on the instrument panel and shift handle, a King Ranch center floor console with floor shifter, carpeted floor mats with the King Ranch logo, and a leather-wrapped tilt steering wheel with climate and radio controls and a Chaparral leather insert.

In addition, the Expedition King Ranch comes equipped with a Convenience Package, which includes power-adjustable pedals with a memory setting, a universal garage door opener, and a reverse sensing system.

Outside, the Expedition King Ranch sports such unique features as Pueblo Gold front and rear bumpers and fascias, and Pueblo Gold running boards. The King Ranch 4WD rides on 18-inch machined aluminum wheels with King Ranch center caps.

A 300-horsepower, 5.4-liter V8 engine ably drives the Expedition King Ranch, though gas mileage suffers. The engine links to a six-speed overdrive transmission. AdvanceTrac traction control with Roll Stability Control (RSC), a Safety Canopy system with side airbags, and a tire pressure monitoring system are also part of the package.
